Courtney & Gary - Ashton Gardens, Houston, TX

A special congratulations to Courtney and Gary who were wed on September 26, 2008. After being stranded out at sea during her bachlorette cruise because of Hurricane Gustav, and having to wonder if Ashton Gardens would even have power to hold her ceremony due to Ike; Courtney handled the day with such amazing ease and grace. We were all set to have a candle lit ceremony at the Ashton chapel, and a plan B reception at the Waterway Marriot. Two days before the ceremony, we got word that the following days bride was DETERMINED to have her wedding as planned... so her family generously provided two large commercial generators to power the entire facility for the weekend!!! Lights, AC, Food, everything worked out perfectly in the end, and it was a lovely, lovely night...

Danielle Doyle of The Perfect Face works her magic. To all brides still looking for a makeup artist, look no further... She is professional, fast, and you WILL look FLAWLESS.

It's a team effort!

I love this photo as dad sees her for the first time, mom looks on in the background...

I just had to include this shot of the ring bearer... he looks so dapper!

But not quite as dapper as Gary

A sweet moment during the ceremony

Man and Wife

From boss to husband... now she's the boss ;)

First dance...

Courtney and dad decided to break into Soulja Boy in the middle of their dance... Amusement ensues...

A strong finish to their dance

I love this moment between Gary and his mom

Shadow puppets!

Goodnight now!

Can it be??? A blog entry! As our new custom blog is near completion, I figured that I need to get into the habit of blogging again.  So, without further ado...

Christina and Steve were married September 6, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church.

I love this shot of her bouquet.

A quick prayer before the first look.

Looking back at dad in the distance.

Beautiful light for Christina.

Steve... lounging...

Steve... Posing in front of the art cow

I love first looks... It's not for everyone, but I think it always makes the day go more smoothly when the pictures are taken before.

In the courtyard.

Dad hamming it up down the aisle.

Mr. and Mrs. Chambers.

Congrats again you guys!

We interrupt this lack of blogging for cuteness to the max...

Juliet is so freaking fast now... her hair can't quite keep up...

Jillian and Blake - Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Jillian and Blake were married on 06-07-08 @ Maroma Paradise.  As I was going through their files I noticed how their day prior images played out quite nicely in a sequence.  We had a blast hanging out by the pool, getting grotesquely sunburned and the like.  Their actual wedding images are coming soon... In the mean time please enjoy the show!

Leena and Sabu had their day coordinated by Shena Cherian and her fantastic team at Desi-gn.

Ceremony: Foundry United Methodist
Reception: The Hilton Post Oak
Videography: A&A Video Productions

The day was rich with color, beauty, and most of all love.  Thank you all for allowing us to share in your blessed day.  Some of my favorites!

Prayers before their big moment...

Kristen & Topher - Wedding - The Houstonian

Kristen and Topher,

This all started when I called Kristen out at Kellie and Nathan's wedding. =) Thank you for allowing me to part of your blessed day.  I was surrounded by smiles and laughter the entire day.  Your ceremony at St. Lukes was beautiful and one that I will always remember.  The butterflies and centerpieces made the Houstonian Grande Ballroom look magnificent... and oh so many memorable moments.  From the dances, Lil' Flip, special performances, to your dad doing push-ups on the dance floor, it was hard picking pictures for this slideshow.  I hope you guys enjoy it...

Blessings,

Marco

First, some highlights!

A frame from her bridal session

Kristin, Kristen, Vanessa, and Stephanie have a special bond, and a special handkerchief that's being passed down as each of them get married

Mom getting one final look before the ceremony =)

And dad too...

Apparently the unity candle had a short wick... After the traditional method failed, they tried a variety of others including being handed a lighter =)

Lovely look during the 1st dance

I love how she's lost in the moment, dancing with her dad

Hey is that Lil' Flip?  Why yes it is!  Here to grace them with his presence

Deuce

The NiteBeat Band jammed all night long

A special dance for grandma... What song could it be?  First to comment with the answer to this very easy question gets a cookie

The new family dancing together

Delta Gamma is our friend too

I don't normally do this, but I just had to highlight this... Kristen loves butterflies (as you can see from the decor of the ballroom) and one just happened to land on her as they were about to drive out ;)

Enjoy the show!
